General Delivery Information
Delivery can be to any address as long the address at which your payment card is registered is also present on your order. Quatra Direct only deliver to the United Kingdom (the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Scottish islands will incur additional charges). All deliveries must be signed for (except items sent by post and which are small enough to be put through your letterbox). Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods.
When you add products to your Shopping Basket, the appropriate delivery charge will be added automatically. You will always be able to see this charge before submitting your order.
All delivery timescales are subject to product and delivery slot availability. Small parcels may be delivered via Royal Mail. Delivery is normally 1 – 2 days subject to availability. However, the delivery may take up to five working days.
The contents of your order and your delivery postcode area will determine which delivery services you will be offered. We do not deliver to Post Office (P.O.) boxes or shipping agent addresses.
Delivery will be between the hours of 8am and 5pm; we are unable to confirm a time.
Quatra Direct will select the most appropriate carrier for your goods. This means your delivery may arrive in more than one batch to ensure your order is transported in the best possible way.
Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and Quatra Direct shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer.
Deliveries will be attempted at your chosen address on the following day if the first delivery was unsuccessful. If your delivery was unsuccessful a card will be left at your address allowing you to contact the delivery service and arrange a second delivery, you may pay an extra £10.30 plus vat for a third attempt on delivery. If you can not collect your goods within 5 days or have not paid for the re-delivery then it will be returned to Old House Store. All returned orders to Quatra Direct will be refunded via the method of payment; you will incur a £10.30 plus vat charge for the attempted deliveries.
Force Majeure
Quatra Direct shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
Cancellation of Orders
You are able to cancel your order prior to shipping with no cost penalty being incurred and full credit of your account if monies have already been taken. You can cancel an order by following the links on the Quatra Direct website, or by phoning us on 0118 946 9146.
All orders received we will endeavour to process and send them out for delivery within two working days.
Bulk Delivery
Hi-Ab Crane Flatbed Lorry – 13000kg capacity –
For customers that require crane-off delivery for bulk items such as 1ton bags of Lime Mortar. This can be arranged with outside hauliers for nationwide deliveries. For a quotation please contact our Caversham Branch, on 0118 946 9146
Alternatively, we can deliver any bulk items to your local builder’s merchant, who may then be able to deliver the items to your site F.O.C. by hi-ab. For this Delivery option, you would need to order the items through your local merchant and not through Old House Store.
A delivery charge to your local builder’s merchant may be charged if outside the postcode area of Reading, Berkshire.
(Please note bulk products ordered online, will normally be delivered by small tailift lorries nationwide.)

Our shipping costs are worked out as follows:
- 0 – 0.5kgs: £5.00
- 0.5 – 25kgs: £15.00
- 26 – 1000kgs: £57.00
- 1001 – 2000kgs: £115.00
- 2001 – 3000kgs: £172.50
- 3001 – 4000kgs: £230.00
- 4001 – 5000kgs: £287.50
- 5001 – 6000kgs: £345.00
- London delivery £72.50
For AM deliveries we will charge an additional £10.00
